During a presentation at QUT at one of the Women in Thought Leadership series by Pitcher Partners, Tracey Vieira (CEO of Screen Queensland) showed a short video of a young girl who has been recorded going on a ski jump for the first time (link at the end of this post).
The video is a great metaphor to how we can approach challenges that we face on a daily basis.
Life is for those who jump!
Regardless of your fears, it is important at times to simply face the challenge head on, and then once you come out the other side, and seeing that you have had success, you often wonder what you were worried about in the first place.
Not sure if you should write your book – ask yourself what will happen if you don’t write your book.
Elon Musk stated that his fear of not doing any thing, is so much stronger than his fear of doing some thing, and this is what keeps him motivated.
Is your fear of not doing ANY thing stronger than your fear of doing SOME thing?
If so, what are you waiting for?
Do SOME thing! JUMP! Write your book. Tell your story. Get going on your SOME thing now!
If a kid can do this so can you.
Still not sure if you can do this? Jump into your email and send me a note about what is holding you back firstname.lastname@example.org
I look forward to seeing your comments.
